FROM LORI KABAT, COORDINATOR
SSM Health - Good Samaritan Hospital
Until further notice:
Important Message from Lori Kabat, Coordinator, EMHC at SSM Health-Good Samaritan
Hello Everyone,
It makes me very sad to post this, but I feel it is the best decision for all of us.
After a discussion with Jeff and Kaycee and after conversations with all of you, I have contacted the Pastoral Care Office and informed them that we feel it is in the best interest of all the volunteers that we suspend our ministry until a later time.
With the rapid increase of Covid cases, the requirement of the goggles, and now the suspension of any patient visitors, it just feels too risky for us to be in the hospital.
Kaycee and Jeff are VERY understanding and supportive of our decision. Kaycee asked that we keep them in our prayers as it is a very uncertain and critical time in the hospital right now.
She said they appreciate every one of our volunteers and look forward to when we can all come back safely.
I will keep you all informed as soon as I hear any other news. I hope and pray that this craziness will calm down soon and that we can continue our work at being the hands and feet of Jesus.
God bless each and every one of you!!
Peace,
Lori
