NEW AED!
(Automated External
Defibrillator)
We have installed a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to the left of the church entrance doors in the Gathering Space.
Please make a note of its location the next time you are here.
Hopefully we never have to use it, but it’s reassuring to know it’s there.
We express our deepest appreciation to Pam Schelter and Pat Butler. Their contributions made the purchase of the AED possible!

Hi All,
Last week after one of our Masses, a young mother came up to me and apologized because she thought her child was being too disruptive during Mass.
I assured her that it was not a problem. Any church that does not have the sound of young children during Mass is in big trouble. She then asked if we have ever thought about having a “crying room.” It was then that I realized that many of our young parents probably do not know about the rocking chairs.
We do not have a “crying room.” In an attempt to make parents who feel the need to take their child out of the worship space continue to feel a part of the Mass, it was decided to provide several comfortable rocking chairs in the Gathering Space. These are arranged so you can still watch and listen to Mass and if necessary, Communion will be brought out.
Post-COVID, the rocking chairs and the “comfy” chairs are still meant to be used as our “crying room” space, however they can also be use by those who feel the need to have social distancing during Mass.
We do ask that the rocking chairs be reserved for families with young children if possible. If you have no special need to use the rocking chairs or the “comfy” chairs, please join us in the worship space as a part of the faith community.
So, if you feel the need, please feel free to use these chairs for you and your family. The important thing is for you to feel comfortable with your family and do not feel your presence is a burden. Young, energetic families are a gift that we cherish.

DIG THROUGH THOSE OLD PICTURES!
Folks,
We have a parishioner who is seeking a complete picture of the First Communion Class of 1957. This is all he has.
[For those of us of a certain age, some of these youngsters look familiar and we can identify a few without going to the First Communion Register!]
If you or anyone you know has a copy of this picture, please let the parish office know. We would like to receive an electronic copy or make a copy and return it to its owner.
Thank you!
CEMETERY UPKEEP!
All flowers and decorations should be kept on the monuments!
Please pick up any flowers or decorations that have been displaced and return them to the monument(s).
It is difficult for our voluntary cemetery maintenance crew to mow and trim when flowers and decorations are scattered about. The cemetery may appear messy and can cause stress for others who have family and friends buried at St. Mary.
Please note: decorations and flowers not kept on monuments will be tossed!
THANK YOU.
Word has been received that Fr. John, our former pastor, mentor and dear friend, has been appointed Bishop of Covington, KY.
